Scars Above
In the near future a colosal and mysterious object of unknown origins appears in Earth’s orbit. Due to its’ shape, people call it the Metahedron. A four-person crew, named S.C.A.R. (Sentient Contact Assessment and Response), is sent aboard the Hermes ship to analyze and assess the mysterious alien object.
As they approach the Metahedron and begin to scan it, the structure begins to pull the Hermes towards it. The crew lose control over the ship, and everything turns white.
Our heroine Kate regains consciousness on an Alien exoplanet - all alone, with her crewmates are nowhere to be seen. As she starts having visions of an apparition, she finds out that weeks/months have passed since their mission. Kate also learns that her team have been surviving on the planet. While looking for them she discovers that her commander (Robinson) has mutated into a hideous beast, but that Tamara and Mike (her other crewmates) are still alive, though Mike seems to be mutating and Tamara is missing as she’s looking for a way to help him. She sets in a mission to find and save them.

Scars Above is a challenging sci-fi action-adventure game, with a balance of combat and exploration, where players need to make smart choices and use scientifically-believable weapons and technology to overcome terrifying monsters and environmental obstacles on a mysterious exoplanet.
A LIVING WORLD
The alien world where Scars Above takes place is filled with mysteries and threats at every corner. Journey through four different biomes, such as Marshlands, freezing Shardlands, and Underground tunnels – all with their own set of challenges, enemies and hazards. Be smart and use it to your advantage whenever possible!
RESEARCH AND SURVIVE
There will be moments when Kate will be able to extract information of her surroundings by scanning objects, materials and creatures. This research journey is an important element of the game as it will help Kate unravel the mysteries of the alien world, but also acquire Knowledge and Abilities to help her survive.
An immersive and challenging single player third-person action-adventure that perfectly blends exploration with modern combat mechanics, crafting and exhilarating boss fights. Players use a mix of melee attacks and ranged weapons with different effects to fight their way across the unforgiving, mysterious exoplanet, while at the same managing stamina, dodging enemy attacks, exploiting weak spots and discovering effective tactics. It combines a lavish and meticulous world design with a deep sense of reward for overcoming challenges, solving puzzles and unraveling an intricate and mysterious storyline.
As players progress, they unlock new Personal Abilities for Kate and earn Ability Points that can be spent to unlock distinct skills, as well as learn to craft new weapons, gadgets, ammo types and consumables to aid them through their journey.
Scars Above features a carefully crafted and intriguing story that pays homage to sci-fi classics. While the main plot unfolds through standard progression, the background story and the truth behind the event’s taking place is pieced together through exploration, examination, finding secrets, solving puzzles and relying on Kate’s research journal.

Kate is an astronaut and a scientist – not a soldier - but she's resourceful and determined to do anything to survive. Use a combination of ranged weapons, devices, consumables and melee attacks, you need to manage stamina as you run, dodge, exploit weak points and discover effective tactics to defeat your foes. Combine different elemental attacks to beat the odds and break through otherwise impassable obstacles. Craft different items and gadgets to aid you against the countless threats in this exoplanet.
